looptopia

last friday was looptopia. apparently it's like the mardi gras of chicago. it had been rainy all that day; but turned out to be a really nice night to see some spectacles. there were a bunch of performances all over in the loop. they had art on state street, a percussion band in the methodist church, a night circus, and all kinds of other stuff. it was pretty sweet.

one of the art performances on state st. this chick had a ton of white masks (seen at lower right) and this one was pretty freaky.

i got my face painted in macy's at the elizabeth arden counter (mrs. arden was probably rolling in her grave)

we even say jack sparrow there!
